“The Effects of Biosimilar Drug Entry on Incumbent Firm Stock P rices”
Pharmaceutical drug prices are at an all-time high, with biologics- a relatively new class of drugs- representing an increasing and disproportionate share of total pharmaceutical revenues. This presentation examines the economic effects of biosimilars (the generic equivalents of biologics) on incumbent biologic drugs, with a focus on the stock prices of the firms that produce them.

Molly Montgomery

Over the past three years, Molly has written and revised a series of poems, culminating in a short collection produced in an independent study this fall. She will read some of these poems at the forum.

“Understanding Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD): The effect of ∆NTF PC1 on GSK3ß activity and PKD cyst formation”

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD), characterized by fluid filled cysts in the kidney, affects over 1 in 1000 people and has no cure. Learning more about the mechanism behind the disease is important in finding future therapies. Therefore, this research, conducted at the Caplan Lab at the Yale School of Medicine, seeks to reveal more about the molecular pathways underlying PKD.
