Alyssa Menz

Alyssa Menz

Alyssa is a second-year Ph.D. student at the Yale School of the Environment working with Dr. Marian Chertow and Dan Esty. Her research focuses on the intersection of corporate sustainability and international development. Prior to Yale she spent 5 years working as an international development consultant on projects related to sustainability entrepreneurship and innovation, corporate social investment, energy transition, and energy policy. Alyssa has an MSc in Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford and a BA in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. As a current yoga teacher and former D1 springboard diver and varsity ultimate frisbee player, Alyssa loves any type of physical activity – backpacking, running, hiking, biking – you name it (although she is quite possibly the worst bowler of all time, so welcomes pointers!). When she’s not playing sports or having outdoor adventures, Alyssa enjoys traveling, exploring museums, going to concerts and plays, cooking, drawing, and trying new things. She looks forward to getting to know you! Feel free to contact her at Alyssa.menz@yale.edu
