Hello fam! My name is Boris Cyusa, and I am a junior in Branford majoring in Statistics & Data Science (B.S.). I was born and raised in Kigali, Rwanda, and the first time I traveled to the US was for my freshman year at Yale. Apart from my beloved work as a PL at the House, I am also the Co-Under Secretary General of Regional Recruitment for YMAU (Yale Model African Union). I’m also part of a play through the Yale School of Public Health, and also dance with Danceworks–safe to say moments spent doing those two activities are some of my most favorite from this semester. A fun fact about me is that my name can be translated to English as “a fighter who ends battles”–Boris means ‘fighter’, while Cyusa means ‘the one who marks the end’. If there’s one thing to remember from all this, it’s that I LOVE nature (and a lot of other fascinating things in this world). Cheers!
