Dominic Bocci

Dominic is a combined PhD student in Anthropology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. At Yale, Dominic’s research interests focus on the Middle East and gender and sexuality. In addition to his academic work, he works at the Council on Foreign Relations, where he is also a term member. There he is dedicated to furthering civil-society involvement in policymaking and mainstreaming LGBTQ+ rights in U.S. foreign policy. He serves as an advisory committee member for the Council for Global Equality- a coalition of prominent U.S.-based human rights and LGBTQ+ organizations- and a fellow at the Atlantic Council. Previously, he worked at the United Nations and the United Nations Development Programme, and was a former Fulbright fellow to the United Arab Emirates and presidential associate at the American University in Cairo. 

Originally from San Francisco, California- and a proud Californian, at that- Dominic holds a BA (with honors) from UC-Berkeley and an MA from Columbia University. He enjoys hiking and working out, consuming hours upon hours of podcasts, writing articles and op-eds, visiting museums and art galleries, and annually watching all Academy Award nominated films.
