I have worked-and am still working- at the Yale Art Gallery since 1972, mostly volunteer, in the print room, and as Gallery editor of many of their catalogues, and one of the authors of our catalogue raisonne of the Societe Anonyme collection. I have also done several exhibitions of their prints collection. Amidst a sort of “jack of all trades” knowledge of the collection, I acquired an institutional memory and began to gather together boxes found in storage, back halls of the Gallery, etc. I now have established an archives for the Gallery, comprised of some 550 boxes of materials- records, photos, meetings minutes etc. This is partially stored at West Campus. I am not a trained archivist- just love to look.
I have a BA from Mount Holyoke College, and two Master’s degrees- Wesleyan and University of Pennsylvania. My husband was the Fellow of Branford College. He was an internest with a subspecialty in reheumatology, was in private practice in New Haven, and associate dean of graduate and continuing education in the Med School for 25 years. He was also voted one of the 200 best internists in the US.
