“Conceptualizing the Social Impact Bond: The interplay of institutional logics among different stakeholder groups”
Social impact bonds have been hailed as an innovative way to finance social services, promising savings for government, returns for investors, and quality services for those that need it most. But, how do their various stakeholders- having diverse backgrounds and potentially conflicting interests- conceptualize this new financing tool? Are there implications to injecting private finance into public services?

“Fusion is Serious Magic: Queerness in Children’s Animated Television from Ruff & Reddy to Steven Universe”

Events in the history of queer activism and queer rights are inextricably linked to portrayals of sexuality in our children’s cartoons. From the 1950s to today, the visibility of queer existence in the United States has increased, and the resulting aggression and fear have gradually made cartoons more explicitly heteronormative and sexually risqué. Through an examination of shows from various eras of queer visibility and anti-queer aggression, I will highlight this historical shift and then attempt to predict the queer representation in children’s cartoons of the future.
