Professor, Mechanical Engineering

I have been at Yale since 1985 involved in teaching and research. I periodically teach undergraduate courses in the thermal/fluid area including: Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Propulsion, and Laboratory on Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics. My most recent effort has been the development of a class on Energy, Engines and the Environment, covering thermodynamics, global warming, fossil fuels and renewable energy. I also teach graduate classes in Combustion. On the reserach front, my research focuses on combustion and electrospray fundamentals with applications.
