First Year Move In
Class of 2026 will move in on Sunday, August 21st. First years should select their arrival time in the Housing Portal (between 9am-4pm). You will be asked to choose a 15 minute timeslot for your arrival and unloading of your car (don’t worry, we’ll have a team of fellow Branfordians ready to help unload!) Your family will then need to find a parking space in the area once the car is unloaded.
Branfordians live in Vanderbilt and will use the Vandy driveway on Chapel Street to unload their cars before moving to parking for the day in the area. When you arrive, you will pull your car into the driveway, student move in helpers will begin unloading your car, and you’ll proceed to our check in table to pick up your room key and Yale student ID. Upper Level Move In
Members of the Classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025 will be able to move in between Thursday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 30th. The online housing portal will open in early August for students to select their move in date. You will be asked to let us know which timeframe you plan to arrive during: 9am-5pm, 5pm-11pm, or 11pm-9am overnight. Please note that the overnight option should only be selected if you absolutely must arrive outside of the other hours as services will be limited, and arrangements will need to be made with the Head of College Office.
We will send out information in August about where to pick up your room key depending on your arrival time.
