Flora Vaccarino

Flora Vaccarino is the Harris Professor at the Child Study Center and Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Yale School of Medicine. She received her MD from the University of Padova in Italy and was a research fellow at NIMH and a clinical fellow in Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. Vaccarino leads a multidisciplinary research group working towards new directions for the study of human mammalian brain development, using stem cell biology and genomics as tools. Her interests are in stem cell derived models of human brain development, human genomic variation, and gene regulatory mechanisms that shape the earliest cell fate decisions in normal human brain development and neuropsychiatric diseases.
