N.W. Gibbons is Branford’s Head Printer, managing and teaching letterpress platen printing in the College’s print shop. Gibbons graduated Yale ‘79 as a Scholar of the House, and was winner of the Devane Prize that year. He was also one of Silliman College’s student printers from 1976-79. Gibbons also works as a fine artist in Wet Plate Collodion and Daguerreotypy. Gibbons work is in the permanent collection of several musuems, including MOMA, the San Francisco Museum of Fine Art, the Library of Congress, and the Yale Art Gallery.
