Robin Hogen

Charles “Robin” Hogen has over 35 years of experience in corporate communications, foundation leadership, academic public affairs, brand management and crisis communications. His career has included leadership roles in the corporate, higher education and philanthropic sectors. He has a reputation for developing powerful, cohesive communications strategies for leading brands, including The Merck Company Foundation, United Technologies, Purdue Pharma, Fisher Scientific International and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Hogen served as Director of Strategic Communications for Yale from 2008-2012 and retired as Vice President of Communications at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation at the end of 2014. He now runs a boutique consulting firm, True North Strategies.

He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, the NationSwell Council, the Kiva Leadership Council and serves as a Senior Advisor to the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, Siegelvision, IO Sustainability and Rabin Martin.

A self-described “sports nut,” Hogen enjoys skiinig, windsurfing, biking, tennis and sailing on Long Island Sound with his wife, who skippers their boat “Seaquel” on which they were married in 2010.
