David Breslow

David Breslow joined Yale as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology in January 2017.  Prior to coming to Yale, David majored in Biochemical Sciences at Harvard University and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the University of California, San Francisco.  He then did post-doctoral research at Stanford and continues to do research in the areas of cell biology, genetics, and biochemistry.  A major focus of his lab is understanding the formation and functions of a cellular structure known as the  primary cilium, which acts like a cellular antenna that helps cells receive and process certain signals.  His teaching at Yale includes Cell Biology and MCDB senior research.
