John Sinard is a Professor of Pathology at the Medical School, and Medical Director of the Pathology Informatics Program. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (Quincy House!) and his MD and PhD Degrees from Johns Hopkins Medical School. He then did an Anatomic Pathology Residency at YNHH, joined the faculty after residency, and has been at Yale ever since. In addition to endocrine and head-and-neck surgical pathology and autopsy pathology, John Sinard specializes in Ophthalmic Pathology. He is most active in the field of Pathology Informatics, the use of computer systems and information management in the practice of pathology. Outside of work, his interests include hiking, national parks, and doughnuts.
