Emmanuèle Délot

Emmanuèle Délot studied at École Normale Supérieure and the Pasteur Institute in Paris, where she obtained her Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology. She trained in developmental and human genetics at UCLA before joining the faculty. There she directed the Societal Issues in Human Genetics and the Medical Genetics Fellowship course. After moving to Washington, DC, she taught Molecular Basis of Human Disease at George Washington University. She is currently an Academic Researcher in the Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of California, Irvine and a visiting scientist in the department of ObGyn at YNHH. She researches new technology to identify etiology of rare disease in genomic datasets. She serves as the national coordinator for the Differences of Sex Development Translational Research Network.

Beyond science, Dr. Délot has written news stories for the French Elle magazine and exhibited her photography in a Los Angeles gallery. An art lover, she obsessively documents the stained glass and grotesque sculpture found in Branford College and elsewhere on the Yale campus here. Always a Parisian at heart, she can be found on the bench under the Library Walk magnolia in all seasons.
