Priscilla Samey

Priscilla Samey is a first year J.D. candidate at Yale Law School. She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Social Studies and Global Health and Health Policy. As an immigrant to the United States, and the daughter of West African migrants, she is especially passionate about immigration law; a dedication which led her to complete an MSc in Comparative Social Policy at the University of Oxford, with a focus on U.S. refugee policy. Since then, she has worked in both the public and private sectors, and she hopes to use her legal education to create more inclusive legal spaces for underrepresented individuals, especially as it relates to issues of health inequality in the law. She is also deeply interested in the intersection of creativity, social science and the law.

Outside of class, Priscilla has a passion for all types of art; she can be found making music (especially singing), drawing, or reading (and writing!) mystery novels. She is also a native French speaker, and is a big fan of winter athletics. As an FGLI student herself, Priscilla is always available to discuss classes, careers, and provide support for anyone navigating their next steps.

Please feel free to reach out for a chat, a coffee, and for an audience for your next concert, play, poetry reading, dance recital, art show or anything at all. She can be reached at priscillasamey@yale.edu.
