Tariq Ahmad

I am an Assistant Professor in Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine and the Yale New Haven Health System. I focus on the care of patients with advanced heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, and cardiac transplantation. My clinical training began at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. During that time, I was awarded a felloship to get an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. Next, I completed a fellowship in general cardiology and advanced heart failure at Duke University Medical Center. I also completed a 2 year fellowship in cardiovascular  research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, the world’s largest Academic Research Organization. I am actively involved in numerous research studies in heart failure that are focused on endsuring the patients are cared for according to the best available evidence. My passion lies in implementing the best known data at the bedside of heart failure patients.
