Wen Long Yang
Student Affairs Associate, Yale College
Wen Long Yang (he/him) is the Student Affairs Associate for Yale College, supporting both the Office of Gender & Campus Culture and the Alcohol & Other Drugs Harm Reduction Initiative. In his current role, Wen Long helps lead institutional efforts to foster a safer, more inclusive, and student-centered campus environment. He oversees the implementation of key prevention initiatives, including the Communication and Consent Educator (CCE) program and Yale’s online alcohol and other drugs harm reduction training for undergraduates.
Before his recent promotion from Student Affairs Fellow, Wen Long played a vital role in coordinating first-year workshops that reached over 3,500 students across two incoming classes. His work centers on collaborative partnership, student leadership development, and culture change at both the peer and institutional levels.
Wen Long is a proud graduate of Yale College, where he earned his B.A. in Psychology. Deeply connected to the Branford community, he served as the Head First-Year Counselor (FroCo) for the 2022–2023 academic year and continues to carry Branford spirit into his professional life.
His past experiences include working as an Educational Consultant for international students, interning in human capital consulting at Deloitte, and leading multiple student organizations focused on mentorship, a cappella, and alumni engagement. Wen Long is passionate about student development, inclusive education, and building systems that support well-being and belonging for all undergraduates.
