Raphaelle Soffe

Raphaëlle is a second-year PhD student in Political Science, focusing on the political economy of taxation. Originally from North Wales, she attended Harvard College with the support of the UK’s largest social mobility program and the Fulbright Commission. At Harvard, Raphaëlle majored in Social Studies while also helping to organize events at the Institute of Politics. She then pursued an MSc at the London School of Economics before working in investment banking (M&A) in London. When not working on her PhD, Raphaëlle enjoys cycling around East Rock or baking Victoria Sponge cakes for her neighbors. She loves discussing foreign affairs and making people laugh.
