Richard Chang

Richard ChangHi! My name is Richard and I am a second-year at the law school. I am so excited to be part of the Branford community. I was born in NYC and grew up in central NJ. I went to Princeton where I majored in the School of Public and International Affairs and received a certificate in East Asian Studies. Before my freshman year, I spent a gap year in southwestern CHina through Princeton’s Bridge Year program. During college, I walked onto the lightweight rowing team, studied US-China relations, and participated in Manna Christian Fellowship. I spent my summers studying Mandarin, interning at the political section of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, and working in finance. After Princeton, I attended Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA and commissioned as an Army officer. While at law school, I am interested in national security law and public service. Outside school, I enjoy distance running, coffee, working out, bubble tea, and listening to Kygo. I am so excited to meet everyone. Feel free to reach out to me at richard.chang.rsc56@yale.edu.
