Wen Long Yang

Wen Long (he/him/his), born in the ‘Big Apple,’ known as New York City, currently lives in Warwick, a town in upstate NY (ironically) known for its apple production. He is majoring in Psychology, where he is most interested in studying the intersection between behavioral decision-making, innate cognitive biases, and human psychological functions.

At Yale, Wen Long has served as the President of Mixed Company of Yale and the Vice President of STAY (Students and Alumni of Yale). This past year, he took a gap year to sing and travel to all 6 inhabited continents with the Yale Whiffenpoofs, the world’s oldest collegiate a cappella group. Outside of extracurriculars, he has also worked a variety of on-campus jobs, including being a Buttery Manager at the Branford Buttery, a Senior Mandarin Tutor at the Center for Language Studies, an Academic Strategies Peer Mentor for the Poorvu Center, and a Behavioral Lab Research Assistant at the Yale School of Management.

In his free time, you will find him binging YouTube travel vlogs, cooking up new recipes he found on Tiktok, and rallying his friends to try out new restaurants that New Haven has to offer. Words cannot even begin to describe how excited Wen Long is to serve as Head FroCo and welcome the Class of 2026 to Branford and to Yale!
