Alejandro Cuadrado is a Lecturer in the Department of Italian Studies, with a focus on medieval Italian literature. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado, and now lives in Brooklyn. He has an A.B. in French and Italian from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Italian and Comparative Literature & Society from Columbia University. In addition to topics in medieval Italian literature, he teaches interdisciplinary humanities sequences (such as Columbia’s Literature Humanities, and now Yale’s Directed Studies), and has experience working in writing centers.
